Principal's Message

Dear Students, Families, and Community Partners,

I am honored and excited to serve as the new Principal of the District Alternative Education Program (DAEP). Joining a campus dedicated to supporting students during pivotal moments in their educational journey is both a privilege and a responsibility that I embrace wholeheartedly. With more than 18 years in education, I have seen the transformative power of relationships, accountability, and second chances. I firmly believe that every student can learn, grow, and succeed when provided with the right support, guidance, and opportunities.

At DAEP, our purpose extends beyond a temporary placement. We are committed to helping students restore confidence, refocus on their goals, and develop the skills necessary for a successful transition back to their home campus. We recognize that challenges and setbacks do not define a student's future. Instead, they provide opportunities for growth, reflection, and positive change. A key part of this work is creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and capable of success.

Through our continued implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), we focus on proactively teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, fostering personal responsibility, and building a school culture grounded in respect, accountability, and growth. I look forward to partnering with our dedicated staff, families, home campuses, and community stakeholders as we work together to support students in making meaningful progress.
