Del Valle ISD announced the 2021-22 district Teachers of the Year at a special dinner celebration presented by the Del Valle ISD Education Foundation on Thursday, May 12.
The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees approved the Superintendent’s recommendation for an average 7 percent salary increase for all teachers, librarians, nurses, and paraprofessionals.
As previously announced, in consideration of families with graduating seniors, Del Valle ISD will observe an early release day at all schools on Thursday, May 26 in addition to an early release day on the last day of school, Friday, May 27.
Del Valle High School Senior, Rahel Bekele received quite the surprise Thursday morning--a four-year $48,000 scholarship to the University of Texas. Representatives from UT paid a visit to Del Valle High School to share the good news with Bekele who plans on studying mechanical engineering.
The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees removed the district’s mask requirement, effective Monday, April 4, 2022. The district continues to strongly encourage masking and will allow individuals who choose to wear a mask to continue to do so.
